TURBUD 2019

TUR BUDAYA or TURBUD, is an annual event for 11th  grade and teachers for learning Indonesian Traditional Culture. Especially Balinese Culture because we went to Bali.
At 17th March 2019, we gathered at Husein Sastranegara Airport at 09.00 AM, my class got session 3 to flight, so we depart at 01.30 PM.

We arrive at Bandara Ngurah Rai at 03.00 PM. The weather not so good, it's cloudy. We continued the trip by bus with our tour guide heading to Jimbaran Beach to have dinner there, we should have gone to Tanah Lot first, but because the time was not enough, so we only went to Jimbaran Beach and eat seafood together.

If we look at the picture, we can see that the weather not really good. It's so cloudy and dark, and shortly after the food comes, suddenly heavy rain came and it made our food all wet, yet I'm still hungry because I couldn't finish them all. Then we are go to the bus and go to the hotel to take a rest, that's the Quest Hotel.

The next day, 18th March 2019, the weather was so good. We went to Tanjung Benoa Watersport. There were so many water sport in Tanjong Benoa Island such as banana boat, doughnut, jetski, flying fish and many more! Me and my friends went to turtle Island by boat.

After that, we went to Pandawa Beach. Pandawa beach has very good and beautiful view, it has blue sea, white sand, and very friendly weather. It's very good for take a selfie or take photo together with friends. I took a lot of photos there.

After we enjoyed the beach we went to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. Graha Wisnu Kencana is a cultural park located at Ungasan Badung, Bali, the price of the tickets is from Rp60.000 until Rp80.000. The park has a land area of about 60 meters and is located at an altitude 263 meters above sea level. In the area there is also a statue of Garuda which is directly behind the Plaza Wisnu. Garuda Plaza is where the Garuda statue as high as 18 meters is placed temporarily. There're some rules that we have to obey it such as we can't record or not taking any photo or videos while the show is performing. Devdan show appeared the perfect shows and i really loved it. After we enjoyed the shows, we went to hotel and slept because we had gone to many place and we were so tired obviously.

At the third day, we went to Tirta Empul Bali. Tirta Empul is very sacred place and the girl who have menstruations can't enter this area. Because Bali's people think that girl who have a menstruations can littering the place because the place is very sacred and at that time I'm on my period. So, I can't enter the sacred place. Because of that, I just take a photos of myself and with the local people. The local people is very nice and friendly. After we went to Tirta Empul, we had lunch . And tomorrow we went to Bedugul and after that we went to Surabaya.

Next is our last destination in Bali, which is to Bedugul. Bedugul is the name of both a small city and a mountain-lake resort area, which has long been used for weekend retreats. Bedugul is an excellent base for walking trips around the lakes and surrounding hills. Bedugul is located in a high plateau at the center of the Island. H A L L O W E E N The origins of Halloween If you think of Halloween, you probably think of scary carved pumpkins, all kinds of fancy dress and children asking for sweets. And if you think of a country that celebrates Halloween, you probably think of the United States first. Americans and Canadians have adopted Halloween in a big way, but Halloween traditions actually come from 16th-century Ireland, Scotland and England. The tradition of Halloween on 31 October comes from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Samhain was the Celtic New Year and they celebrated it on 1 November because that was the end of summer and harvest time (life) and the beginning of winter (death). It was also the time for ghosts to return to earth for a day. People lit a big fire, wore special clothes made of animal skin and hoped to be safe from the ghosts and the winter. In AD 609, the Catholic Church put the Christian celebration of All Saints Day on 1 November. In AD 1000, the church added All S...

World Tournament

On Saturday, August 26th 2017, OSIS of SMAN 3 Bandung hold a World Tournament. My class, 10 MIPA 9, was fighting against 10 MIPA 7.      The point of the games was to collect many photos. If we win, we will get a photo. And if we lose, 10 MIPA 7 students will get it. This tournament was so amazing. In the Tournament we can't say any Indonesian words. We must talk with English. And I thought this was so cool because I could learn to speak English with my friends. Talk with English and listen to the people who talk English is an efective way for me to speak and understand English language. Another thing that is made this game was so amazing was that we pretended to be a pirate. We use costume likes a pirate and our faces use make up like a pirates. The OSIS give us a map because the games hold in a different places, we must look at the map, find the place and we had to walk to get in there. In the middle of the games, there will be an pirates that is trying to steal...
